Our Awards

The Soapies are a trusted award ceremony for British soaps and dramas, where the public can vote in the awards for their favourite soaps, actors and actresses and more!

This year is our first year running the award ceremony and we are focusing on the highlights of 2014. Our goal is to run the ceremony for several years in the future, after a hopeful success of this year's ceremony.​

 

We ran the idea after seeing the high popularity of such soap awards, like the British Soap Awards, the Inside Soap Awards and the All About Soap Awards. As they progressed over time, they became popular and we aspire to be like that. We then began to put together awards, nominations and improved the awards over twelve months. After several trials and tribuations, we pieced together an award ceremony.
 

The programmes that we have included this year are the four central soap operas: Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks as well as medical dramas Casualty and Holby City and school-based drama Waterloo Road.
